Varities of Uncanny

We deal mostly with local produce and as new fruits and vegetables are coming in, the varities change week-to-week. Always looking for the best way to capture the best of the season, uncanny made over 50 different types of preserves in 2010 and over 40 different kinds in 2011. I wonder what 2012 has in store?

Here’s the run-through of 2010/11′s preserves:

Rhubarb

rhubarb chutney, gingered rhubarb, jalapeno rhubarb, rhubarb with honey and rosemary, rhubarb with orange and lime, rhubarb with orange and ginger, curried rhubarb chuntye, rhubarb with honey and lemon verbena, rhubarb preserves with vanilla bean, rhubarb and orange syrup, rhubarb syrup

Strawberries

strawberry lavender, strawberry vanilla bean, strawberry with fresh mint and black pepper, berry wine jelly, strawberry with maple, strawberry with balsamic and pepper, strawberry margharita, strawberry with creme de cacao, classic strawberry, chipotle strawberry, sugar-free strawberry vanilla bean

Raspberries

raspberry with chocolate, july jam (mixed berry), raspberry zinger, raspberry and blueberry, raspberry amaretto, raspberry and red currant jelly

Currants, Elderberries and Gooseberry

red currant jelly, red currant orange jelly, black currant jelly, elderberry syrup, gooseberry jam, gooseberry and orange jam, elderberry juice

Peaches and Nectarines

zesty peach barbeque sauce, tropical peach conserve, brandied nectarines, spiced peach spread, peach and vanilla bean, peach rum butter, peach bellini jelly, honey jasmine tea and peach jam

Plums

apricot and plum jam, yellow plum with rosemary and vanilla, prune plum with port, blue plum with port, prune plum conserve

Apricots

brandied apricots, apricot jam, apricot with kirsch

Cherries

sour cherry jam, vanilla infused cherry preserve, cherry berry spread, cherry and walnut conserve, sour cherry vanilla preserve, sour cherry pie filling

Blueberries

blueberry with lime, blueberry with lemon, blueberry and citrus conserve, blueberry and walnut conserve, blueberry and apple spread, blueberry and plum, blueberry with grand marnier, blueberry maple walnut conserve

Apples

apple butter, apple and pear ginger, apple chutney, caramel apple, apple jelly, green tomato apple chutney, raisin and date apple chutney, cardamom spiced apple butter

Pears

pear with vanilla and honey, pear with cinnamon and brown sugar, gingered pear with creme de cacao, pear mincemeat, pear and cranberry chutney, salted caramel pear butter

Quince

quince apple jelly

Peppers

holiday jelly, papa jon’s fiery pepper jelly, jalapeno gold, red pepper jelly, apple cider pepper jelly

Beans and Beets

dilled garlic beans, caraway beets, dilled beets, spicy dilled beans

Tomatoes and Tomatillos

smoky chipotle salsa, salsa verde

Mustards

tarragon,  lime and coriander, lemon wine and sage, balsamic

Herbs

apple mint jelly, nana rose’s coriander thai jelly, rosemary apple cider jelly

Other

port (local) and balsamic jelly, onion marmalade, brandied vegan mincemeat
